A card for your masjid’s website.

Families search a masjid’s website first when someone dies. Fill in the form, check the preview, and paste the snippet into a page on your site. It shows your funeral committee’s number as a large tap-to-call button, three first steps, and links to the guide for your state and to how the janazah prayer is prayed. Free, and nothing to sign up for.

Preview

This is the real card, loaded from the same script your site will use. It is at least 260 pixels wide and fills narrower columns.

Your snippet

Where to paste it

Paste the whole snippet, both lines, where you want the card to appear. A page called “When someone dies” or “Funeral committee” works well, and a link to it from your home page helps most.

WordPress

Edit the page, select the plus button to add a block, search for Custom HTML, add it and paste the snippet. Preview, then update the page. Some security plugins strip scripts for non-administrators.

Squarespace

Edit the page, select an insert point, choose the Code block and paste the snippet. Leave “Display Source” off so the code runs, then select Apply and save. Squarespace has said that code blocks which run scripts need a Business plan or higher, so on a lower plan this may not work.

Wix

In the editor, choose Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML, and paste the snippet under “Code”. Wix shows the embed in a fixed-size frame, so drag the box to about 480 pixels wide and 560 tall so nothing is cut off.

Plain HTML

Paste the snippet into the page where the card should appear. It does not matter whether the script line comes before or after the card.

Block names are as we found them in each service’s documentation and help articles; the menus change from time to time. If yours differs, look for an option to add custom HTML or an embed code.

What the card does and does not do

It sets no cookies, stores nothing and has no analytics. The only file it loads is the script itself, from this site. Your visitors’ browsers contact us only when they load that script or follow a link in the card.
Links to the guides carry ?ref=embed so that we can see, in aggregate and without any personal detail, how many visits came from masjid websites.
The card draws inside its own sealed box, so your site’s styles will not break it, and it will not change your site’s.
The three steps and the guides are general. Please check that the number is answered at night, and tell us if it changes so the directory stays right.
To remove it, delete the snippet from your page.
